A mature API allows you to connect Workspace to your membership system and integrate with single sign-on.
Kavi Workspace is designed to integrate into mature IT environments.
Integrate with membership data from an association management system (AMS) or CRM.
If you want to use your AMS or CRM as the system of record for member and company profile data, you can use our API to push that data to Workspace. In these cases, the member data is shared in a one-way push to Workspace. Workspace has been successfully integrated with iMIS, Salesforce, CiviCRM, and other in-house membership systems.
We follow a mature project plan for integration projects. Our integration process includes a development/test server environment to verify all connections. We also maintain detailed developer documentation for the API and SSO specifications. Contact us for more detail.
Single Sign-on based on the industry standard SAML 2.0 specification.
Single sign-on allows users to log in once with a trusted ID and access multiple browser-based applications or services. Kavi Workspace is designed to operate in single sign-on environments that conform to the SAML 2.0 standard (developed by Kavi customer OASIS.) Single sign-on integration is required and included in API member data integrations.
The SAML 2.0 specification is rich and complex, but the subset of features required and supported by Kavi is relatively simple. The Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML) V2.0 Technical Overview document provides a good overview of the relevant SAML 2.0 features.
Kavi will provide a SAML 2.0 “Service Provider” implementation in Kavi Workspace that offers most of the authentication life-cycle stages found in typical SSO scenarios. Contact us for more detailed documentation.
The supported features include:
- Initial centralized log-in.
- Periodic authentication re-verification, achieved indirectly by “Identity Provider”-initiated Single Logout if required.
- Single Logout.
In most cases, Workspace operates as a service provider (SP), but can also perform the identity provider (IdP) function.
Mature API. Our published API is in active use at numerous organizations.
Single Sign-on. Compatible with the industry standard SAML 2.0 specification.
